On this page
The short version
A summary to find your way. The full text below is what counts.
Zero cookies
This website sets none — no session, preference, advertising or statistics cookies.
No browser storage
Not even the interactive preview: it keeps its state in memory and forgets it when you leave.
No third-party content
No ads, social buttons, embedded videos or external fonts that could set cookies.
No banner needed
There is nothing to consent to, so we don’t interrupt you with a cookie banner.
01The short answer
This website sets no cookies. It doesn't write to your browser's local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, and it doesn't load content from other services that could set cookies. This page explains what that means in detail, the rare exceptions, and how the PaneScale app handles storage on your computer.
02What this policy covers
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browsers have other ways to keep data, too: local storage, session storage, IndexedDB and the cache. Laws such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and the German TDDDG treat all of them alike — storing information on your device or reading it from there generally requires your consent, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. This policy covers all of these technologies.
03What this website stores
| Technology | Used here? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies | No | No session, preference, advertising or statistics cookies. |
| Local storage, session storage | No | The interactive preview runs the real app interface but keeps its state in memory only. It is gone when you reload or leave the page. |
| IndexedDB, cache storage, service workers | No | — |
| Third-party cookies | No | No embedded videos, maps, fonts, social buttons or ads from other services. |
| Browser cache | Yes, managed by your browser | Your browser keeps fonts, images, scripts and films to load pages faster. This is ordinary HTTP caching; it contains no information about you, and you can clear it at any time. |
04Security cookies from our hosting provider
This website is delivered by Cloudflare. If Cloudflare's protection has to tell people apart from automated attacks, it can set a strictly necessary security cookie — __cf_bm (expires after 30 minutes) or, after a security check, cf_clearance (valid for a limited time). These cookies don't identify you and aren't used for advertising. Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and our legitimate interest in a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
05Checkout and other websites
When you buy a plan, you go to Stripe's checkout on Stripe's own domain. Stripe uses cookies there that are necessary for the payment and for fraud prevention; Stripe's privacy policy describes them. Links to other websites — GitHub, your providers' documentation, your email app — lead to services with their own rules.
06The PaneScale app
PaneScale is a desktop app, not a website, but its interface runs in Microsoft's WebView2 runtime. Like a browser, it keeps a few interface settings in its local WebView profile under %LOCALAPPDATA%\com.sherobi.panescale:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
sp_theme_kind | Whether a dark or a light theme is active |
ps_chat_active | Which chat was open, so it reopens after a restart |
ps_draft:… | Text you typed in a composer but haven't sent yet |
ps_usage_win, ps_usage_metric | Time range and measure you chose on the usage page |
ps_usage_alerts | When a limit warning was last shown, so it isn't repeated |
This data never leaves your computer. Pages you open in the browser pane — for example your local development server for Point & Fix — can set their own cookies there, as in any browser; those belong to the pages. To remove everything, uninstall PaneScale and delete the folder above together with its data folder (see Your data).
07Your controls
Because this website stores nothing, there is nothing to switch off here and no banner asking for consent. You can still delete cookies and site data in your browser at any time:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
08Changes
If we ever want to use cookies or storage that aren't strictly necessary, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before anything is stored.
