Asked most often.
A coding CLI is not detected.
PaneScale looks on your PATH and in the usual install folders, and caches the result for a minute. Open Settings → Agents & accounts and click “Check again”. If it still isn’t found, run the CLI once in a normal terminal to make sure it is installed for your user. Read more
A pane shows “Working” forever.
Status comes from hooks, terminal notifications and prompt detection. Text-mode CLIs can only be detected from the screen; press Enter in the pane or switch focus once. If it persists, check the troubleshooting guide. Read more
How do I use two accounts for the same CLI?
Add a second profile in Settings → Agents & accounts. Each profile signs in once in its own pane; then choose which one is the default. Read more
Where are my chats and runs stored?
In a local SQLite database in your user profile. Lane worktrees live in PaneScale’s data folder, checkpoints under private Git refs in your repository. Read more
Can I undo an adopted autopilot result?
Yes. Adopting takes a checkpoint first; “Undo adoption” in the morning report restores your working copy exactly and keeps files you edited since. Read more
Where do I see my Claude and Codex limits?
Bottom left, above your account: percent left per window, reset time and a pace mark. Hover for a forecast, click for the Usage page with spend at list prices. Read more
Why did the autopilot mark a task “needs you”?
Something failed one of the strict rules: a required check, a regression against the baseline, or an integrity warning such as a changed check config. Read more
